This is my timetable on all of my probability learning I have been doing over the past 2 weeks I have found all of it challenging but I feel like I am getting better and achieving my goals so hopefully at the end of this area in maths I will be able to work out problems that I would have been able to before this.

Fish In aa Tree Novel Study

For the first two terms of 2017, we had been reading a book called Fish in a Tree we also had to use information that we got from the text to complete this novel study which is the same slideshow above this will tell you about the main events in the story.

A Moment in Time

For last half of the term, we have been doing this literacy task every morning for 10 minutes called a moment in time for this we had to find three significant events that happened on that date in history and then we had to choose one we wanted to learn more about and then write our findings on the other side of the slide we then finished off by finding a photo of the event, This is my slide above↑↑↑↑

Timbernook Room 10 EOTC

On Monday this week room 10 went on a trip out to timber nook by Stoney Creek ranch, We did lots of fun activities like building human bodies out of things that we found around the area and cooking marshmallows over the camp fire. We also had a lot of free time so we could go exploring in the forest we found rope swings that went out over the marshy creek and there was also a tunnel in a fallen tree, My favourite part was when Evan and I found the tunnel in the fallen tree that was only just big enough to crawl through.

Here are some pics from our trip↘↘↘↘↘↘

Week 4&5 Inquiry

In week 4&5 we had a must do and a can do activity for our must do we had to design a footprint to do with cyber safety by showing these five points
  • Represent yourself with respect and pride
  • Respect others online
  • Think before acting
  • Share your concerns
Here's Mine↘↘↘↘↘↘

And for the can do Evan, Shamus and I chose to do a poster on the importance of listening and why these people need to be good at it here they are.

  • students
  • doctor
  • friends
  • an audience
  • a pilot
  • a parent
  • a teacher

And this is our poster↘↘↘↘↘

Mandarin lesson week 3 - Paper cutting

For mandarin last week we did this thing called paper cutting this where you fold a sheet of red tissue paper in to a certain shape and then draw a traditional design you then shade in the parts to cut out this makes a cool traditional chinese paper decoration.

ps there is instructions in the slideshow so read to find out how.

X-Country Report.

Challenging Part of the course

The hardest part of the course for me is the last part where you run through a flat grassy reserve and the grass and ground is  really soft which makes harder to run.

My goal for Tuesday (The race day) is to get in at least the top 15 out of the boys.

Passion Projects, Finished Product

Over the last three weeks we have been doing passion projects again but this time it was to do with healthy bodies and strong minds. Evan and I both share a passion for surf life saving and we were trying to raise awareness of how hard it is for a surf life guard to see swimmers when the aren't between the flags and then end up drowning. So this is our slide on surf life saving.

Passion Project Plan - Surf Lifesaving

Evan & Luca
Surf Life Saving

We met each other this year but recognising each other's faces the main thing that clicked between us was  that we had competed  against each other for at least 4 years in surf life saving me (Evan) competing for ocean beach and luca for waimarama as we  both know a lot about surf life saving
For the 1st week we are going to be planning what we are going to do with surf life saving  and for the 2nd week we are going to make everything happen . third week we are going to get props and practise/present  are project .

We want to show people how much hard work it takes to get your lifeguard bronze and the ways people need to train to get ,the gear they use and
more and how much work they put into keeping people save at the beach.

Over the first three weeks of the term we are doing passion projects again Evan and I are collaborating because we both share a passion of surf lifesaving here is our plan.

Chinese Student Kevin - Welcome

This week we have had a chinese exchange student named kevin come into our class for 1 month we created this slide to make Kevin feel more welcome and tell him a bit about us when we were doing our slides kevin was doing his own slide tell us more about him.
