Probability, Maths Learning Area

August 21
Maths Buddy
Today I went on experimenting with probability and watched the video to get a better idea of probability as it was year nine.
Finding out how to work out probability.
N/A
Starting on the worksheet tomorrow.
August 21
Workspace
Today I played who wants to be a millionaire probability version
I won $1,000,000 which means I got every question right.
N/A
Going on more activities.
August 21
Maths hub.
Today I went onto probability a played a game called Dice duels
I got most of the answers right but it doesn’t tell me my score
N/A
Finding some more activities.
August 22
Maths Hub
Today I played a game called lucky 16.
The aim was to get the  lowest score as possible and I got 66 out of 16
N/A
Getting a lower score next time.

Teacher workshop
Today we did lots of things on probability they were the likelihood of an event happening, probability continuum, Tree diagram and PO, S
We learned about the likelihood of getting a heads or tails and the probability continuum with a ratio from 0 - 1
N/A
Practicing this.

The game show working out
Today Lily and I got all 15 tests done
We worked out that you have a higher chance if you change because 70% of the times we changed we won the car.

This is my timetable on all of my probability learning I have been doing over the past 2 weeks I have found all of it challenging but I feel like I am getting better and achieving my goals so hopefully at the end of this area in maths I will be able to work out problems that I would have been able to before this.

  1. Your maths timetable Luca is detailed, thorough and very clear when I read it. I can see what tasks you are choosing, how you are tracking, the easy and challenging parts. Keep thinking about theoretical and experimental probability - two different concepts you need to be crystal clear about. We are about to calculate the theoretical probability of the Monty Hall problem as we have done the experiment/investigation part. Keep up the exemplary blogging! Miss O'B
